Pro League matchday 15: what’s in store for Cercle and KVM?

19 November 2024

Another weekend in the Belgian Pro League, another set of fascinating football encounters all across the nation! As always, we’re looking forward to stellar performances from our sponsored teams Cercle Brugge and KV Mechelen, in particular. Check out below what’s at stake on 22-23-24 November!

Antwerp vs Dender

22/11 8.45 p.m.

Most likely to win: Antwerp

Antwerp has rewarded its good form with second place so far. Dender knew a good season start, but the JPL newbies have trouble keeping up with the relentless pace. Win for Antwerp.

Club Brugge vs STVV

23/11 4 p.m.

Most likely to win: Club Brugge

Reigning champion Club Brugge is third, but can’t be happy with the 6 point gap with the number one. STVV is holding itself together in the belly of the ranking. Club should get the 3 points here.

Standard vs Cercle Brugge

23/11 6.15 p.m.

Most likely to win: Standard

Despite its fair share of struggles, Standard managed to get a foothold in the middle of the standings. Cercle Brugge needs points, but unfortunately won’t find them at Sclessin.

KRC Genk vs Charleroi

23/11 8.45 p.m.

Most likely to win: KRC Genk

Leader Genk is dominating the Pro League this season. To underline its title ambitions, it’s expected to win against Charleroi, one of this season’s also-rans.

KV Mechelen vs Beerschot

24/11 1.30 p.m.

Most likely to win: KV Mechelen

KV Mechelen has enjoyed a strong run so far: sixth after 14 matchdays. With Beerschot, the hopeless last in the rankings will be KVM’s next victim.

OH Leuven vs Union

24/11 4 p.m.

Most likely to win: Union

OH Leuven may be just out of the relegation zone, a victory could propel it to 19 points, on par with Union. The team from Brussels should take the win, though.

Anderlecht vs KAA Gent

24/11 6.30 p.m.

Most likely to win: Anderlecht

The must-watch game of the weekend is Anderlecht versus KAA Gent, or number 3 versus number 4. The safest bet seems to be on the home side, though not by a wide margin.

Westerlo vs KV Kortrijk

24/11 7.15 p.m.

Most likely to win: Westerlo

Westerlo is in the top half, but barely so: it’ll need a victory to make sure that it remains there. KV Kortrijk is second to last, and will taste defeat once more here.
